Phew~ I've done recording my English reading for my voice-blog.

It really needs energy. I repeatedly read the same article over 10 times, then when I find it good enough to record it, I do it. Sometime, both my tongue and I are already tired when I enter the key-stage. It's also difficult to wrap it up without stumbling with any words.

Despite some problems I've encountered during my recording for over a year, I have been feeling so fulfilled to think that I have been keeping on towards my goal.

Yesterday, I was organizing the recorded voices in my player, and found one that was done a year and some months ago. It was unbelievably unlistenable. I was surprised. Each sound was unclear, and there was no intonation, like I was walking on a flat ground with a disappointed look. It was the actual first time that I had found out a clear difference between the old recording and the recent one.

Though my reading is still not very easy to listen to, I feel happy to find out my small progress. Maybe it's the start of having good communication with native English speakers. I felt that I had gotten a little confidence than before.

(^^)

Here's my site: http://www.voiceblog.jp/mirai33/

If any of you would give me some advice, I would be happy.

すごい! I'm really impressed.

The only thing I would advise is to work a bit at sounding the "dr" consonant cluster, for instance as it starts the word "drowsiness." I know these type of clusters can be terribly difficult to master, as Japanese doesn't have them at all.

Hello Arisen!

Thank you so much for your time to correct my entry and also listen to my recording!!!

I appreciate that you kindly point out the part that I need to practice more. I will practice "dr" for drowsiness, "cr" for cry, "pr" for pretty and so on!

本当にありがとう。 (^^)

Shiro さん、

本当は「だれか、助けて~~~」って叫びたい心境なんです。(なかなか上達がしないので。。。)

でも、昨日、その違いに気がついて、本当にうれしかった。

コメント、ありがとう! うれしかったです。

I listened to the most recent one and it sounds really good! The intonation and pace sound very natural. I think those are some of the harder things to get "sounding natural" for a foreign speaker. ^^

ほんとですか?!

Koro
