In hindsight, I feel that I was surprisingly ignorant about other cultures several years ago.
I also learned that it would be easier for people who have not been exposed to many cultures to get false ideas about the people there.
I had felt that Americans were not kind through the incident at the airport, but that came from just a culture difference and a culture shock, not about themselves.
I also felt a strong independent spirit from Americans, which I should take a leaf from their book.
I should have worked out my own mistake, which is about my story at the airport. I know that I was trying to get someone's help at that time, and that was stupid!
Gee~I can't type again.
PS:I have a question for you. After I write over 10 lines, I can't type proprely here,,,,does anyone have the same problem? I have to stop writing now, because I can't see my spelling any more while I am typing. I'm just like a blind now.

I also learned that it would be easier for people who have not been exposed to many cultures to get false ideas about the foreign people. there.
I had felt thought that Americans were not kind due to the incident at the airport. However, that came stemmed from just a culture difference and a culture shock, not the Americans themselves. (Stemmed means it comes from or originated)
I also felt a strong independent spirit from Americans, which I should take a leaf from their book. (What do the words in red mean?)
I should have worked out my own mistake, which is the theme of my story at the airport. (Theme means lesson)
I know that I was trying to get someone's help at the time and that was stupid!
Geez~I can't type again.
I must be blind now.
#2 Sequel to the Previous Story: Responsibility for My Mistakes 私の失敗は私の責任
I also sensed a strong independent spirit from Americans, which I felt I should emulate. (I changed "felt" to "sensed" to avoid using the same word twice in the same sentence)
I know that I was trying to get someone's help at the time, and that that was foolish of me.(the way the other guy corrected it is grammatically incorrect. the word "stupid" is kind of out of place, so I changed it to make it sound more literary)
John, and aleph0null
Thank you for your corrections!!!
arigato!!!
Yeah yeah~ a gremlin teaches me that I should stop writing, otherwise it will wear out my readers! hahaha
By the way, " I should take a leaf from their book." is not an English phrase, which I meant " I should learn it from them"?
When I write my journal entries, I first write in a word document and then I paste them into this website, so maybe that will help you bypass this site's gremlin.
Ah, that's a good idea!!! Will do!
Thank you for teaching me about the phrase. I found it in my dictionary, and tried using it. I should be careful when I use terms phrases which I find in my dictionary, as it sometimes teaches me old-fashioned and wrong ones.

I'm glad you've taken this experience with a grain of salt though. As rough and tough as Americans seem on the outside, you learn the majority of us are sweet as gumdrops once you get to know us. It's just getting through the outer layer that's sometimes the hard part :D
Thank you for your comment and teaching me about the out-of-date type of phrase I used!
It may be dangerous to keep Americans all together, but I have learned some great parts that Americans and their culture have, which Japanese people don't have. This is how I want to get to know them more and more~
