This group is a splinter of The Daily Yoji, a site devoted to learning Japanese by studying some really cool expressions that Japanese people use every day, but that they don't expect foreigners to know. Learning them is a great way to impress people, remember kanji, and give your conversations some flavor.

We (the site's contributors) are also posting JLPT 2kyuu grammar, Japanese Language Trivia, Jokes, and other expressions.

We wanted to make a lang-8 group because the learning process is more fun and easier if we can get more people involved.

For those of you who are native Japanese speakers, learning English, it's a great way to learn in reverse by seeing how we translate some of the expressions you use every day, and we would really appreciate your feedback or your corrections.
