언젠가 이 주제에 대해서 이야기 하고 싶었어.

I want to know difference between Canada and Korea about this
이것에 대해서 캐나다와 차이도 알고 싶어.

It’s likely a little difficult topic.
조금 어려운 주제가 될지도 몰라.

그 주제는 한국 사회구조에 관한 것이야.
The topic is about society structure in Korea.

Some country have a lot of various society problem.
어느 나라에서든지 많은 다양한 사회문제를 가지고 있어.

I think that the biggest problem in Korea is the polarization. This word is difficult.
내가 생각하는 한국에서 가장 큰 사회문제는 양극화야.

Is there polarization word in Canada?
양극화라는 단어가 캐나다에도 있어?

It’s means rich people getting more rich and poor people getting more poor.
일종의 빈익빈 부익부 같은 의미야. 잘사는 사람은 더 잘살고 못 사는 사람은 더 못산다는 의미야.

It’s vested rights. Rich people are almost vested rights like the Republican Party in US
기득권이라 하지 보수파. 미국으로 말하면 공화당 같은

The vested rights got almost everything in Korea society. Politic, Economic
한국 사회는 그 기득권들이 전부 가지고 있어. 정치, 경제, 전부를 말야.

Because of vested rights, there are a lot of monopolistic market and unfairness rivalry(trade) in Korea
기득권 때문에 독점과 불공정 거래가 이루어지고 잇어.

The Monopolistic market and unfairness rivalry(trade) separate… sorry. How do I express this..
독점과 불공정 거래가 사회에 일반적이고 만연해 있어.

So, the society is getting more unfair and poor people get more poor and they can’t have any chances.
그래서 사회가 점점 불평등해지고 못사는 사람들은 더 못살고 기회조차 없어져.

그것은 한국에서 정말 큰 문제야.
The thing is really big problem in Korea.

I’m looked for the vested rights in dictionary. I’m not sure well there is the word in Canada. I want to transfer the meaning well.

오랜만에 한글 일기입니다. 이전부터 써보고 싶었던 주제이기도 해요.

저는 직장생활이 올해 4년째에요.

저희 회사는 해외자본을 투자해서 설립한 한국의 branch office 에요.

그래서 일종의 외국계 회사이죠. 하지만 외국인이 하나도 없어요. 특이하죠.

이전에 재정이사님이 유일한 외국분이였지만 그분은 얼마전에 그만 두셨어요.

저는 업무적으로 headquater office 와 영어 letter 을 많이 주고 받습니다.

그래서 writting 은 느리지만 의사 소통에 어려움이 없는데 speaking 은 너무 많이 부족합니다.

말할 대상이 없기 때문이죠. 가장 큰 문제입니다.



지금의 저뿐만이 아니라 대한민국 대부분의 직장인들은 영어공부를 합니다.

그 목적에는 다양한 이유가 있겠죠.

첫째, 자신의 커리어를 위해, 몸 값을 높이기 위해, 자기 능력 개발을 위해

둘째, 현 업무지원을 위한 필요성

셋째, 영어 공부는 투자대비 좋은 자기 개발 항목이에요.


위 이유로 직장인들이 영어 공부에 많은 시간을 투자하고 실패를 겪습니다.

저 또한 마찬가지고요.

영어 공부는 자신이 그 즐거움을 찾아야 하고

동기 부여를 지속적으로 이끌어 가는 것이 가장 중요합니다.

직장인들은 많은 업무로 인해 매일 너무 바쁘고 피곤합니다.

공부할 시간이 많지 않죠. 하루에 많다면 2~3시간 정도?


직장인들이 영어공부의 가장 궁극적인 목표는 외국인과 만났을 경우 '원활한 의사소통'일 겁니다.

즉 fluent 하지는 못하더라도 상대방과 의사소통에는 무리가 없었으면 합니다.

speaking 을 향상 시키기 위해서는 상대방과 끓임없는 대화와 그 경험이 축적되어야 합니다.

하지만 대부분의 직장인들은 그 상대방 ( 원어민, 외국인 친구, 영어를 잘하는 친구 )를 만나기가 쉽지 않습니다.

스스로 혼자하는 것에는 어려움이 있죠.

저 역시도 매일 일기와 편지를 쓰려고 노력하지만 그걸로는 너무 많이 부족하다는 걸 알고 있어요.

어떻하면 혼자 공부를 해서 speaking 능력을 향상시킬 수 있을까에 대해서 많이 고민합니다.


listening, writting, reading, speaking 이 네 가지 모든 부분은 중요합니다.

분명히 이 네 가지 부분이 유기적으로 서로 도움을 주고 받는다는 것에는 확신이 있어요.

직장인들이 가장 원하는 speaking 을 어떻게 향상 시킬수 있을까에 대한 물음은 계속 가질 것 같습니다.

여기에 오는것도 정말 오랜만이에요.
It's so a long time to come here.

난 여자친구를 만나는 것 때문에, 난 자주 여기를 못 왔고 일기를 못 썼어요.
Because I have met my girlfriend, I often couldn't come here and write entiries.

오늘 난 오랜만에 일기를 쓰고 싶어요.
Today, 오랜만에, I want to write a entry

친구의 일기를 읽다가 쓰고 싶은게 생겼어요.
While I read her a entry, I had a topic that i want to write.

전 정장을 몇벌 가지고 있어요. 전 suit를 몇 벌 가지고 있어요.
I have serveral suits.

감색, 회색, 검정 등등..
Navy, Gray, Black color and so on

suit는 한국어로 정장이라 불러요 하지만 그건 요즘 그냥 suit or '수트' 로 부르기도 해요.
Suit calls '정장' in Korean but It seems like that Just calls suit or '수트' in Korean these days.

난 그것들을 정말 좋아해요. 난 수트를 입는걸 좋아해요. 난 그걸 즐겨요.
I love it. I like to ware it. I enjoy it.

그건 저를 기분좋게 만들어요 왜냐하면 suit는 저를 좋게 보이고 잘 어울려요.
It makes me feel good because It looks good on me and its a good fit.

Is there other expressions ' 잘 어울리다'?

그건 나를 단정하게 만들어줘요.
It makes me neat and proper.

하지만, 문제가 하나 있어요.
However, there is a problem.

난 그걸 입을 기회가 잘 없어요.
I don't have chance well to ware it.

가끔식, 그걸 입을 수 있는 결혼식에 가요.
Sometimes, I go to wedding ceremony to able to ware it.

그게 전부에요. 하하
That's all. haha.

한국에서는 그걸 입을 수 있는 파티와 같은 기회가 잘 없어요.
In Korea, There is not chances well like parties to ware it

그게 저를 슬프게 만들어요.
It make me in a sad mood.

다음에 이 부분에 대해서 더 쓸게요

그의 아버지는 갑작스럽게 돌아가셨어요.
His father passed away suddenly.

그는 실감나지 않아 보였어요.
He seems like not true(actual)

There are habits in native language.

I often say this a lot in Korean.


'It seems like ~ ( ~ 같아

'probably~


These expressions have similiar nuance.


When I want to say my think, I use it.

But It seems like uncertain and unreliable.

I realized these.

난 오늘 한 가지 중요한 걸 깨달았어요. 나는 요즘 자주 어떤걸 깨달아요. 하하.
I realized important one thing today. I have often realized something these days. haha

그 이유는 내가 자주 영어 공부하는 법에 대한 시간을 가질려고 노력하기 때문이에요.
The reason is that I often try to have time how to study English.

위에 이 문장이 문법이 끔찍히 별로 란걸 알아요. 난 그건 상관 없어요.

He spoke slowly for us but I didn't understand everything.

하지만 나는 한가지를 생각했어요. 그건 나의 경험이 아니였어요.
However, I thought one thing. It wasn't my experience!!

그 주제는 나에게 너무 낯설었어요.
The subject was too much strange to me.

나는 연습할 수 있는 많은 경험이 필요해요.
I need a lot of experiences to practice.

오늘 회사 동료 결혼식에 갔다 왔어요.
I went to wedding ceremony.

그런데 아침부터 오후까지 비가 왔어요.
It has been raining from morning to afternoon

한국에서는 결혼식때 비가 오면 더 잘 산다라는 미신이 있어요.
There is one superstition in Korea that when It's rainny for wedding, live better ? sorry... I don't know how to express it.

미신이지만 기분 좋은 말인 것 같아요.
Even though superstition, It might be good superstition.

한국의 예식은 30분정도 진행 됩니다.
It takes around 30 minutes.

굉장히 일상적이면서도 짧아요.
It's common and short time.

요즘에는 그런 예식의 의미가 많이 사라진 것 같아요.
These days, .... sorry I don't know this expression.

무슨 공장에서 빵을 찍어내는 느낌이에요.
It looks like conver belt system. ... ahhh.


예식을 끝나면 가족들과 사진을 찍고

대부분 부페식이에요. 이것도 일상적이죠.

결혼식을 마치고 동료와 백화점에 갔어요.

친구를 벨트를 샀고 저는 구경만 했어요.

사고 싶은건 많지만 절제해야 되요.

낭비는 좋지 않아요. 꼭 필요한건지 여러번 생각해요.

벌써 200번째 일기이다.
It's already the two hundred entry.

제가 여기에 있게 된 건 여러분 덕분이에요.
I'm here on lang8 because of you. Thank you.

사실 어렸을 때도 한글 일기도 이렇게 많이 써보지 않았어요. 하하..
Actually, when i was young, I didn't write a lot of entries in Korean like this. haha

저는 토요일 아침마다 수영을 가요.
I usually go to the pool for swimming every morning of saturday.

수영장과 헬스장이 있는 스포츠 클럽이 집 바로 옆에 있어요.
Sports center is next to my house.

수영 좋아해요? 저는 수영을 배운지 2년정도 됬어요.
Do you like to swim? I've been learning swimming about 2 years.

매일은 못 가지만 요즘에는 주말 아침마다 갈려고 해요.
I don't go every day but I will go to the pool every morning on weekend.

수영은 몸을 유연하게 해요. 전신 운동이에요.
Swimming makes body flexible. It''s the exercise for whole body.

몸을 물에 맞긴채 물의 흐름을 타는게 기분을 좋게 해요.
It makes me good of feeling.

그리고 수영을 마치고 하는 사우나를 좋아해요.
After finishing swimming, I like the spa.

It makes me relieve.

수영을 마치면 그 건물의 지하에 있는 이마트에 가요.
And then, I go to mart in basement of the building.

It names the E-mart like Wall-mart.

E-mart is the big most franchise mart in Korea.

이 건물에 수영장, 헬스클럽, 마트가 전부 있어요. 굉장히 편리해요.
There are the pool, health club and mart in the building. It's so convinent.

마트에 가서 필요한 생필품을 사고, 오늘은 피자를 샀어요.
I bought groceries and a pizza today.

같은 아파트에 사는 동료로부터 여기 피자가 맛있다는 이야기를 전해 들었어요.
I heard from my coworker who live next to same apartment said It's delicious.

그래서 치즈 피자를 사서 집에 왔어요. 가격에 비해서 엄청 크고 맛있었어요.
So, I bought it and came back home. It's so big and delicious as price.

그 피자를 가지고 오늘 하루종일 먹었어요.
I had a pizza all day long.

개인적으로 피자를 별로 안 좋아했는데 이렇게 가끔식 먹는건 맛있는 것 같아요.
I personally don't like a pizza because of oily(greasy). Sometimes, It's good.

다음번에는 콤비네이션 피자를 먹어야 겠어요.
I will try to have combination pizza.

내 방에 들어 오자마자 나는 샤워를 했다. 그건 피로를 풀어준다.
As soon as i came my room, I took a shower. It relieve fatigue(tired?).

It makes me refresh. I like that. :)

I usually have writting my entries by notepad of windows

I've collecting my entries in laptop since I've written entries on lang8 because I study it again.

So, There are over 100 entries in there.

I found new tool.

It's the evernote. Have you heard of it?

It's the cloud service. The cloud service is in fashion in IT these days .

That's why it can save easily anything everywhere.

Besides, It can use in IPhone. There is a app in appstore.

Whenever I want to see my enties, I can read them.

Wherever I want to see my enties, I can read them.

It's easy and so conveninet.



I just have a question.

how can i use this word 'available'?

I heard from friend that It's handy word in conversation.

I found it in dictionary

'Are you available on weekend?( I want to mean 'do you have free time on weekend?' )

'What time are you available?'

나는 오늘 너에게 질문이 있어.

나는 항상 조동사를 사용하는게 어려워.
I'm always difficult to use auxiliary verb.

많은 조동사가 있어.
There are a lot of auxiliary verbs.

그것들은 많은 의미를 가지지.
They have a lot of meanings.

조동사 중에서도 would 를 잘 모르겟어.
Among auxiliary verbs, I don't know well yet 'would'

물론, 난 그게 많은 의미로 변한다는걸 알아.
Surely, I know that it can change a lot of meaning.

일상 대화에서 그건 어떻게 사용할 수 있어?

evernight, I'm always hungry beacuse I have a dinner early.

So, In this time, I'm always hungry.

If I have a stress these days, I reslove it to eat anything(요즘 난 스트레스 받으면 먹는걸로 푼다.)

Since I have been working, I grew 5 kilometer because we often have been a dinner at company.

In US, Is there the dinner culture in company? (미국에도 회사에서 회식문화가 있습니까?)

This is a korea culture.

After finishing work, co-worker(colleague?) often have a dinner and a lot of drink. (일을 마치고 동료들은 자주 저녁과 술을 먹는다)

They reslove a stress. (스트레스를 풀다(해결하다)라는 다른 표현이 있어요?)

So do I.

There were guestes who visited company these days.

그들은 높은신 분들이다.
They are high level.

우리회사는 외국계 투자 법인이기 때문에 나라마다 분사가 많다.
There are a lot of branch offices beacuse other country invest

일본, 중국, 태국, 인도, 독일, 미국, 브라질 등등..
Japan, China, Thailand, Germany, US, Brazil and so on..

오늘도 아시아의 사장님이 오셨다.
The president of Asia came to company today.

그는 중국인이다.
He is a chinese.

그래서 우리회사는 그들 위해 많은 준비를 한다.
So, we prefared for a lot of things for him.

오늘 갑자기 우리 사무실에 왔다.
He just came in our office.

우리는 조금 놀랐지만, 팀장님은 그를 반갑게 인사를 했고
We are a little surprised but my manager glad to him.

자연스럽게 영어로 대화를 나누었다.
Naturally, They talked eace other in English.

나는 옆에서 듣고만 있었다.
I just listened next to them.

그는 영어 발음이 너무 이상했다.
He was a strange to listen pronunciation.

그래서 팀장님도 이해하는데 힘들어 보였다.
So, My manager seemed to be hard to understand him.

나도 팀장님처럼 빨리 유창해지고 싶다.
I want to be fluent like my manager.

팀장님은 호주를 2년동안 갔다 왔다.
My manager had been Austrailiar for 2 years

뛰어난 영어는 아니지만 의사소통에는 무리가 없었다.
He is not great English but It's enough to commnication.

나는 2년안에 저렇게 될 수 있을까? 자주 생각했다.
I often thought that I will be like that for the future.

팀장님보다 더 잘 하고 싶다.
I want to be fluent than my manager.

Ahhh. I'm super tired today because of a lot of works.

How long do you spend time in company all day?

I usually spent around 10 hours at company.

I have to go to work by 8:00 am and I usually finished work at 18:00 pm.

Is it a long time as you?

I heard that bussinse time of Korea is so long as other country.

So, when i came home, I'm exhausted.



OK listen.. I realized one thing

I wrote about this in last entry.

Speaking is real-time.

It's doesn't wait for me. haha

I just say what i want immediatly.

I have to make a lot of sentence myself.

Surely, It's a little different feeling as writting.

저는 갑자기 그게 궁금했어요.
I just have a curiosity.

내일 일을 위해서 저는 곧 자러가야 되요.

이 이유 때문에 일요일 저녁이 싫어요.
I don't like the night on sunday because of this why.

저는 최근에 영어 일기를 다시 무척 많이 쓰게 됬어요.
I have been writting a lot of entries these days again.

하지만 영어 소리에 너무 안 익숙해요.
However, I'm not familiar with sound of English.

그래서 계획이 있어요.

영어 동화책이나 스크립트를 매일 조금씩 읽어야 겠어요.

I'm awkward that 'be going to ~' I know that 'going to' can express 'gotta' )
