Japan still do whaling. But I don't want to write about whether whaling should be abolished or not, so please don't comment about whaling.
A few days ago, the Japanese whaling ship and the ship of the non-profit marine conservation organization, Sea Shepherd were crashed.
This video is that crash.
Obviously, Japanese ship was alarming by sounds and water and the Sea Shepherd's ship tried to interrupt the course of Japanese ship. Japanese ship is big, so naturally it couldn't well avoid to collide. Nevertheless, the opinion of Sea Shepherd is that Japanese ship tried attack its ship and the same opinion is said on some kinds of news paper. Moreover, I found offending comments about the affair on Face book, the one of which is "Time for WAR on JAPAN again !!! Signed one of many F#%K OFF New Zealanders !!!!". I have no idea what their brains consist of.
Let me write again. I don't intend to discuss whether whaling should be abolished or not. I have never eaten whales and I don't want to eat them unless someone order me to do.

Why not? I've heard it tastes bad, but if I had a chance to eat whale I would eat it. People are too picky about their diet w. I'd eat black rhino if I had the chance ^^.
I love all the bestialitists or whatever you call whale lovers who think it's horrible to hunt whales, but have no trouble saying things like "Fuck Japs" and "It's time for a another war".
Hell the cover of some Australian paper (I forget which one and it doesn't matter cause nobody cares about Australia), but they had "War" on their coverpage.
These stupid seashepherds are just ecoterrorists if you ask me. Interrupting perfectly legal business, and putting themselves in harms way then blaming others.
Whoring their "good cause" to cable tv and the like.
I wouldn't treat them any different than pirates, sink them to the bottom of the sea and see if their beloved whales come to save them.

I don't know much about whaling either, but there are even people from other countries saying how stupid Americans are and how we always have to be in other countries' business. Everyone will have an opinion or something irrational to say, so please do not take it to the heart.
dude don't worry about them they are nromal people with no brain at all , just ignore what people say and give them some moral lessons or lections , so that it would stick on their mind forever.

All forms of farming, be it on land or at sea, are vicious but without them we wouldn't be able to eat meat these days. We evolved to eat meat so it's just how the food chain works in my opinion.
I think the seashepherds were at fault in this case, you don't sail into the path of a big ship and expect it to manage to steer away from you.

i'm was very angry over sea shepherd's actions towards the Japanese whaling fleet too. i think it's just offensive on sea shepherd's part to impose their own values onto others by adopting such a confrontational approach.
as for the racist comments on facebook, i think there's nothing much you can do about it. But if any of the comments are posted by a Singaporean, please do let me know. our country will prosecute anyone who promotes hate speech on the internet. We have just recently hauled up 3 youths who posted racist comments on facebook to court.
