Daiki-san,
Thanks for your correction.
>Have you found any differences ?
Perhaps, but I would like to hear other people's opinions first.
However, to get things going: I believe that Japanese people tend to have more respect for structure and authority than the UK. I haven't been to Japan though, so I'd like to hear more views on this and other differences, if possible :-)
Hi muso,
Good going.
Regarding "何か、そういった経験はありますか?", I think you would like to know to feel some par,t of difference between UK and JPN. If so, you should ask "日本と英国の文化の違いを感じた事は、いままでにありますか?" to Japanese. In this case, "Have you ever felt some part of difference between UK and JPN?" right? As for me, When I went to the London, I met many difference culture. e.g food, pub etc. especially, pub is really good atmospherein UK!I like "1 pint Guinness":-)
In general Japanese people are more punctual than the UK.
When I lived in London, my roof was leaking. I called for the repair men. They told me they are coming tomorrow morning, but they didn't come. I called them again. They said, "we are coming this afternoon." Actually they came next day without apology. At the first how rude they were but I was getting used to that. The UK is much flexible than Japan.
In Japan, most supermarkets open at 10:00 a.m., but in the Uk, many supermarkets open 8:45 which was very convenient for me. The UK is more international than Japan.
People are more individual than Japan.
They don't bothered about a bit of dust.
They love the sun better than Japanese people. I always wear a hat and a long sleeve shirt to avoid sun tan, when I go out in the summer.
More people in the UK offer their seats to the others than in Japan. In Japan a lot of people are sleeping or pretending sleep in trains or buses.
These are my personal opinions.
