Today is "Setsubun"(節分), the day before the beginning of spring according to the calendar. Recently, a lot of people have been eating "Futomaki"(太巻き), a big sushi roll. In fact, I already reserved Futomaki at a nearby 7-11. I will get it and eat it this evening. When we eat it, we must follow a traditional manner. It is that we eat it without talking and turn on a Luckily direction, this year's direction is the north-northwest. I'm going to eat it following the traditional manner, and I want to become better life.

When we eat it, we must follow a traditional manner custom.This sentence is correct but sounds a little strange. I think it would be more natural to not use "must", "we follow" is fine. When we talk about customs in English we don't use "must" or "have to". What do you do at Christmas?We go to church, eat lots of food and exchange presents.
