Academy Awards is announced on March 7.
アカデミー賞の発表が3月7日に行われる。

I think that Avatar wins at Best Picture.
ぼくは作品賞はアバターが取ると思っている。

Especially, 3D technology is wonderful, and it opens up a new movie of the future.
特に、3D技術は素晴らしく、映画の新しい未来を切り開いた。

By the way, in the US, there is a system that 2D movies change into 3D movies.

Avatar has good special effects, but didn't have a very deep plot.

There are a few nominees which I would like to see win before Avatar:

District 9
Inglourious Basterds
Up in the Air

I liked District 9, but it still probably doesn't deserve to win. Up in the Air is a very good movie, but probably too artsy.

I'd really really like to see Inglourious Basterds win, but I have trouble seeing an ultra-violent Tarantino movie winning no matter how good it is.

So I think Avatar stands a good chance anyway.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen District 9 and Inglourious Basterds yet.
I think Up is very a funny movie.
I want to see Inglourious Basterds you recommend ;-)

There is actually a nominee titled "Up" and another one titled "Up in the Air" which is kind of confusing. They are two very different movies.

I think "Up" is the one you saw which was a computer animated movie. I haven't seen it yet, but want to.

"Up in the Air" is a movie with George Clooney in it, and he plays a guy who gets paid to fly around the United States and fire people from their jobs. It is kind of depressing.

Sorry, I think "UP" is the same as "Up in the Air".
I have seen "UP" which animation movie last summer.
I haven't see "Up in the Air", "Up in the Air" will　release on March 20 in Japan.
I'm looking forward to seeing it.
