I went to the "Gift Show" at "Tokyo Big Sight" in Tokyo last Friday. It was the most famous shopping goods events in Japan. It was held twice times, February and October, in the year. I went it on February every year. The hall was vast and I wasn't able to walk to see all the booths, and what's more, there were very crowded with a lot of people. I wanted to find some promotional goods for my business. Luckily I found some goods and talked about it with a dealer. Well, I was exhausted by waking around the hall all day long.

Though it passed "Risshun"(立春), the day the beginning of spring, it was still cold this morning. I found many frost crowns which had formed on my garden, and some flowers was frozen. This is the picture of frost crowns which I took on my garden this morning. I thought that they were very beautiful when I saw it nearby. But the outside was very cold.

Almost all Japanese car's speed meter is 180km/h or below. However according to a net news, a speed meter of the Toyota 86 which is a new sport car sold from April is 260km/h. This picture is of the speed meter. I was surprised to see it. Because all Japanese cars have a speed limiter system. They isn't able to run 180km/h or over. There was a heavily snow in Sea of Japan side from last week. A snowfall in Sea of Japan side was recorded until now. The most snowfall was about 3m or more. This year's snowfall was about twice beside the usual year. Therefore a lot of snowing accidents happened and about 60 peoples passed away. According to the weather forecast, the heavily snow continue until this weekend.

Today is "Risshun"(立春), the day the beginning of spring. I write about "Setubun" the previous diary entry. I threw soybeans toward outside crying "Demons out!"(鬼は外), toward inside crying "Luck in!"(福は内) last night. After throwing soybeans, I ate "Futomaki"(太巻き) without talking while facing a Lucky direction, this year's direction is the north-northwest. It was the day beginning of spring, but it was still so cold. The flu was raging almost all Japan. Fortunately I haven't had the flu. I want to take care not to have the flu. Today is "Setsubun"(節分), the day before the beginning of spring according to the calendar. Recently, a lot of people have been eating "Futomaki"(太巻き), a big sushi roll. In fact, I already reserved Futomaki at a nearby 7-11. I will get it and eat it this evening. When we eat it, we must follow a traditional manner. It is that we eat it without talking and turn on a Luckily direction, this year's direction is the north-northwest. I'm going to eat it following the traditional manner, and I want to become better life.

Almost all Japan was covered with a heavy body of cold air from last week. And the temperature in all Japan was getting low. Besides it was snowing in Hokuriku and Tohoku areas. The quantity of snow is about two times as usually years. So a lot of accidents happened in the snow areas. About 50 people and more passed away because of the accidents of snow. According to the weather information, the cold weather continued until this weekend. I take care not to have a cold, I think.

It starts the spring training of Japanese professional baseball teams from today February 1st. 10 baseball teams will camp the spring training in Okinawa Prefecture. Okinawa is warm in this season, so there are best place for training.

After many professional baseball teams started to camp in Okinawa, a technique of high school baseball teams in Okinawa gradually improved. And some high schools won the victory of Koshien baseball games.

After praying the Oguni Shrine, I was heading for Hamamatu city to eat lunch. The lunch was all you can eat, and I got a 30% discounts coupon for lunch. There was a restaurant of lunch at Hotel Okura Akuto tower in Hamamatsu. There were a lot of foods, drinks and desserts at the restaurant. I was able to eat them as much as I liked. The foods were yummy and I ate too much. This picture is of the foods that I ate. I was satisfied with all you can eat lunch. But my stomach looked like a burst, haha.

I paid a visit to the Oguni shrine(小国神社) at Mori town on New Year's Day today. I have visited there the end of January every year. This picture is of the shrine of the Oguni. The Oguni shine was surrounded with tall and big trees. The atmosphere was grave.

After finished to check a information, I came into the shrine. And The Shinto priest purified me and a Miko girl danced in front of me. I prayed that I would have happiness and good health in front of an altar. After praying, I bought some talismans and went back home.

When I start to work in my office this morning, I felt a kind of dizziness. I haven't felt dizziness until now. I wondered to feel dizziness. Then I read some Twitter, so an earthquake happened in the East of Yamanashi prefecture. I felt dizziness because of the earthquake. The earthquake was big, and it measured an intensity of 5- around of the East Yamanashi prefecture. My living place was measured 2.

I thought that the earthquake happened the foot of Mt.Fuji, so it was possible that Mt. Fuji erupt soon. However a geologist said that the earthquake didn't concern with Mt. Fuji's eruption. I was relief to hear that. But the earthquake was scary.

I found Ishigakinoshio chocolate(石垣の塩チョコレート) in an inner fridge today. I had forgotten that I bought it at Naha airport last summer, haha. I checked its best before end, so it was "20 Dec 2012". The best before end was passed. But I thought that it was keeping in the fridge, so it was safe to eat it. I ate it and it was a delicate salt taste and yummy. My stomach is normal so far, haha.

Ken Nishikori who is famous Japanese pro tennis player competed in the Australian Open. He smoothly advanced to the quarterfinal. It was amazed with the Japanese tennis. Because he was the first Japanese male player to reach the quarterfinal of the Australian Open in 80 years. However he wasn't able to advance forward the semifinal. I think that he would get the one of grand slam someday.

It snowed in Tokyo yesterday. Tokyo was covered with about two or five centimeter snow. A lot of car accidents occurred in Tokyo because of snow. And about 500 people injured to slip on the snow. Almost all people living in Tokyo don't used to walk on the snow.

I went to see the move "Always Sunset on Third Street'64" in 3D this morning. The movie is the third film of the series. It is set in Tokyo at the time of the 1964 when Tokyo Olympics games was held. The movie's day is rapid economic growth in Japan, and All of Japanese had a lot of dreams. One of the dream was to watch the Tokyo Olympics Games on a collar television. I thought that the movie gave a lot of audiences good old days. In fact I heard some audiences's sob. And I impressed to see the ending. I think that it is recommended for the elderly people. But young people also are able to be fun to see it.

My dog, Maron, injured her eye from two weeks ago. I took her to a vet to check her eye two weeks ago. The vet said that her eye was injured with dust. And the vet gave her an eye lotion and medicine. Yesterday, I went to the vet to check her eye again. But her eye didn't get better. The vet said that maybe she scrubbed her eye because her eye itched. So the vet put on an Elizabethan collar to her neck. When she wear the collar, her eye is going to get better. The Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plants burst and a lot of radiation were spread for the East Japan in March 11th last year. Then an effect of radiation reached for a green tea in Shizuoka Prefecture. Therefore the Shizuoka green tea had a lot of damages included harmful rumors. Almost all farmers growing the green teas and green tea seller affect were affected by the issue of the radiation. the green tea sales of almost all companies were decrease. Then a union of the green tea demanded compensation for the TEPCO. Then the TEPCO decided to compensate for the decrease in sales. Almost all green tea companies hereby were aided with the compensations, I think.

I went to the Shimada community hospital to have a regular checkup this morning. Most difficult examination was a gastrocamera. It was very difficult that a fiberscope got down into the throat and I felt bad feeling. However after the examination, a doctor said that my stomach is clear and healthy. I feel temporarily relieved.

By the way, it snowed this morning. My living place is warm and it rarely snows in the winter. Therefore when it snows, almost all people are confused with the snow. This picture is of a flower covered the snow in my garden.

The Costa Concordia which is the luxurious huge passenger ship ran aground on rocks off Isola del Giglio in Italy on Friday 13th January. I was very surprised that such a huge ship ran aground and it leaned into the side. About 40 Japanese tourists took the ship. Luckily All of them were rescued from the ship.

However a captain of the ship ran away from the ship without rescuing the passengers. The local news blamed his action.

I got a lot of raw oysters from my friend who lives in Oita the day before yesterday. I love oysters, especially raw oysters. However raw oysters are sold at a nearby supermarket.

I ate the raw oysters for dinner when I got them. They were fresh and yummy. I ate them drinking hot sake. Since the oysters were yummy, I drank sake too much, haha. This picture is of the oyster which I got.

Today, on the 11th of January, is Kagami biraki(鏡開き), the cutting of New Year's rice cakes. Kagami biraki is a Japanese traditional ceremony which is broken Kagami mochi(鏡餅), round rice cakes offered to the gods at New Year's time. And we eat the broken rice cakes as a sweet bean paste soup with rice cake. We are getting health to eat the broken Kagami mochi. I am going to eat the sweet bean paste soup with rice cake after dinner.

I knew that Homare Sawa(澤 穂希) was awarded the FIFA Women's World Player of the Year in 2011 on TV news today. I was glad to hear the news. Because nobody has been awarded the prize. She was awarded it as Japanese for the first time. The Olympic Games will been held in London this summer. Japanese women soccer team called Nadeshiko Japan(なでしこジャパン) will take part in the Olympic Games. I'm looking forward to see the soccer games, and I hope that Japanese players play an active part in the games.

The Kawane spa(川根温泉) is very famous, so a lot of people visit to here every day. Because there is a good location and we are able to see the Ooi-river and a steam locomotion crossing the river from an open-air bath. Besides the quality of spa is good for our health.

Today is the national holiday, Coming-of-Age Day, and my day off. I had a no plan, so I went to the Kawane spa. It has a little indoor swimming pool. We are able to swim and take a spa. I swam the pool for about 2 hours. After swimming, I took the spa. The spa made me relax. The picture of a steam locomotion was took by my cellphone camera.

I went to see the movie "Isoroku Yamamoto (山本 五十六)" at a nearby theater today. He was the commander-in-chief of the Combined Fleet during World War II. The plot of the movie is an activity of World War II. He thought how to finish the war before the battle at Pearl harbor. However he was not able to stop the war during his live. He knew if Japan battled with UAS, Japan lost. Because he studied in Harvard University, and he knew that the military in USA was stronger than Japanese. So he didn't want to begin the war. After seeing the movie, I was impressed with his way of life.

I had a 1st generation iPod nano. I knew that it was recalled because its battery become too heat and at last it is possible that it bursts. I sent it to Apple care center two month ago. I thought that an alternative same iPod nano arrived from Apple for me. However the newest iPod nano(6th generation) arrived me. I was glad to get the newest one. I'm listening the music on the new iPod nano. It was very nice. Thanks Apple!!

Tabe-log(食べログ) had an issue of made-up ranking for restaurants. Some company which contact with restraints deliberately wrote good comments for the contacted restaurants. And the rate of the restraints became to rise up. Tage-log company searched for unfair companies and restaurants, and punished for them.

Everybody is able to write an bush telegraph of Tabe-log. It is no wonder that there are good comments and bad comments onto the bush telegraph, I think. To choice the restaurant will be at my risk. When I choice the restraint to eat good foods, I only refer the rating of Tabe-log.

I'm using an iPod touch and an iPad2. I installed many App in the iPod touch and the iPad. Though the Apps almost are games and music, I installed some English learning Apps. And I got new English learning App. It is memorize English words. I got it 85yen. It's normal price was 250yen. I was luckily able to get it cheap. I want to remember English word by using it.
